Screamer Band Share New Music Video “The Traveler”
Screamer Band, a heavy metal unit from Sweden, has officially released its latest music video for the single The Traveler. The music video was released on their label’s YouTube channel, SPV Entertainment, on December 9, 2022.
Screamer’s new music video is not devoid of the enthusiasm, physically tangible intensity of the songs, and the irresistible drive that has always set Screamer apart from other acts. This music video depicts Screamer’s tour, one of which is during their visit to a stage in San Francisco, United States.
The Swedish band with frontman Andreas Wikström benefits inexhaustibly from the group’s incredible energy in combination with the musicians’ inspiring and diverse songwriting. This combination has also led them to produce four studio albums and one live recording since 2011.
Screamer’s latest offering, an album titled Kingmaker, is slated for release on January 13, 2023. Like its predecessors, this Kingmaker album sparkles with many songs in the classic heavy metal area—a genre that has been an integral part of the Screamer members since early 1980.
At the same time, Screamer Henrik Petersson promises the band’s latest album is the most mature and focused. He said: “Kingmaker allowed us to further refine our signature style and bring out the essence of our strongest strengths.”
Screamers gathered in Ljungby in 2009, a small town between Malmö and Gothenburg, Sweden. Their previous studio albums, Adrenaline Distractions (2011), Phoenix (2013), Hell Machine (2017), and Highway Of Heroes (2019), feature a five-part statement that delivers an immediate statement featuring dynamic riffs, fierce twin guitars, powerful grooves. , as well as very melodious vocals.
Screamer Band has played over three hundred concerts, including high-profile gigs at well-known festivals such as Headbangers Open Air, Rock Hard Open Air, Summer Breeze, Bang Your Head, and Muskelrock.
A representative proof of the quintet’s enthusiasm for playing live was seen in January 2021. Back then, songs on their live album Live Sacrifice were cut during their European tour, between the fall of 2019 and spring of 2020, while Kingmaker now seamlessly picks up where its predecessor left off.
Newer songs such as Renegade, Chasing The Rainbow, and Hellfire were Screamer signatures. Petersson said, “On top of that, they define who we are today, musically and also in terms of content. Usually, our lyrics are about life on tour, the joys of heavy metal, and the life that comes with it.”
Despite special treatment, The Traveler’s unusual and melancholy song is not Screamer’s signature style.
Then vocalist Andreas Wikström also said that the Kingmaker album also displays a socio-critical approach, for example on the track called Ashes And Fire, and the fantasy influence on Sounds Of The Night, which might be called a little adventure story.
Andreas Wikström, the vocalist for Screamer, is the main lyricist for Screamer’s songs. He also wrote his songs with fantastic choruses. Along with longtime members, guitarist Dejan Rosić, who is described by colleagues as a “Bosnian Santana and riff machine”, and bassist Fredrik Svensson Carlström—who has been dubbed “a real animal on stage!”

Drummer Henrik Petersson, not only founded the band but was also the manager and backbone of Screamer’s existence. Meanwhile, Jon Morheim recently joined the Screamer group as a guitarist and is a true riff virtuoso whose great technical skills played a part in propelling Screamer to the next musical level.
The five members have combined their talent, experience, and undiminished ambition and are gearing up to release Kingmaker, the strongest album of their musical career to date.
Prior to the album’s release on January 13, 2023, the album’s lead single Kingmaker was released on September 16, 2022, followed by Hellfire on October 28, 2022, and The Traveler on December 9, 2022. All three singles are supported by excellent music videos.
