Ola Englund Guitar – Solar Guitar E1.7FBB 7 Strings
Ola Englund Guitar – As the style of play and the metal genre developed, the gear also experienced great development and progress. Many musical instrument manufacturers see metal as a potential market for profit. Until now, the world of gear in the metal realm is almost comparable to the complexity of the metal genre itself.
The countless playing styles and diverse musical tastes that fall under the metal umbrella can leave beginner, intermediate, and even advanced metal guitarists confused as to which guitar suits their tastes and music. To make it a little easier, I try to recommend a guitar that could be the best choice for metal musicians.
In choosing the right guitar for metal, you have to consider a number of factors. Factors such as color and design by answering the question should it be black? Or, does metal always have to be synonymous with a pointed shape? No less important are the pickup output, scale length, and neck profile. It’s as complicated as choosing a guitar for any style of music, in essence, it’s important to think about how the guitar will function, whether for playing leads, blocks, or both.
Guitars using EMG pickups will probably pair well with some amps, but will sound “muddy” and notes won’t be heard clearly if the gain setting is too high. On the other hand, if you prefer a dynamic guitar sound, then choose a guitar with a passive pickup.
Ola Englund’s Solar Guitars has been making guitars since 2017. Given the number of gears Ola Englund has tested to some extent over the years, I tend to trust a guitar design that will no doubt add to the performance of a metal guitarist on stage.
