Megadeth’s New Album – The Sick, The Dying… And The Dead! is the title of the new album by the American heavy metal unit Megadeth. This new album has been confirmed by Megadeth and will be their 16th studio album. The Sick’s new album, The Dying… And The Dead! It will be released on September 2, 2022, via UMe.

The Sick, The Dying… And The Dead! This is an album containing 12 tracks from thrash metal legends to continue their 15th album, Dystopia, which was released in 2016. Vocalist Dave Mustaine said, “For the first time in a long time, everything we needed on this record was in its place. I can’t wait for the public to find out about this!”

Megadeth’s New Album has also made a preview for this new album with the lead single We’ll Be Back. The lead single was released along with a music video that doubles as a cinematic short film entitled We’ll Be Back: Chapter I. This short film tells the story of Megadeth’s iconic mascot, a fictional character named Vic Rattlehead. The short film itself is the first in a three-chapter series.

We’ll Be Back: Chapter I is the story of a warrior about courage, personal sacrifice, and the will to survive. This visual material is the first installment in a video trilogy to be released alongside the release of The Sick’s new album, The Dying… And The Dead!. This cinematic music video was directed by Leo Liberti and was released on June 23, 2022. Vic Rattlehead is the mascot for the thrash metal band Megadeth. Vic Rattlehead is a fictional character in the form of a skeleton figure wearing a suit that expresses the principle of ‘See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil’. (See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil),” as well as a symbol of censorship. His eyes were covered by glued shields, his mouth was tightly shut, and his ears were covered with metal caps.

Vic Rattlehead‘s mystical creation is discussed in the song The Skull Beneath The Skin from their first album, Killing Is My Business… and Business Is Good! (1985). The mastermind behind this Megadeth mascot is Dave Mustaine himself after he sketched the original image of Vic for the cover artwork of his first album.

The Sick, The Dying… And The Dead! Consolidating their return to the form that began with the album Dystopia—which became a Grammy-winning album. Musically, this album also marks Dave Mustin’s victory against throat cancer. This album also brought back a number of important names such as co-producer Chris Rakestraw who worked with Megadeth’s sonic architect, Dave Mustaine, having previously worked together on the album Dystopia.

In addition, Megadeth alumni, James LoMenzo, stated that he rejoined Megadeth and became the band’s permanent bassist. Dave Mustaine welcomed the good news, saying, “For the first time in a long time, everything we need on this record is in place. I can’t wait for the public to know this!”

The Sick, The Dying… And The Dead! is so special because it features several songs written by Dave Mustaine and a combination of songwriting from Megadeth personnel. This album also brings together all the fun elements typical of Megadeth, from the rage on Night Stalkers, the lead single We’ll Be Back, to the melodic mid-tempo song Soldier On!.
