Korn Freak on a Leash Shown on Reunion With Amy Lee

Korn Freak on a Leash – Korn finally reunited in its full lineup. The difference is, that Korn, performed with vocalist Amy Lee of Evanescence on August 16, 2022. The appearance of these two names together brought the single Freak On A Leash.

The two bands began their joint United States tour at the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado. Both featured hits from their respective music catalogs. At the end of the set, Korn and Amy Lee joined the band for a live performance of their 2007 MTV Unplugged collaboration song—which was taken from the song Freak On A Leash (1998), which was featured on the album Follow The Leader.

The two bands continue their tour at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheater on August 18, 2022, and conclude their trip to Washington on September 16, 2022.

Last month, Korn and Evanescence performed at the 2022 Inkcarceration Music & Tattoo Festival alongside Disturbed and Breaking Benjamin. The three-day event takes place at the Ohio State Reformatory, an old prison made popular in the film The Shawshank Redemption. Other acts at the event include Lamb of God, Papa Roach, Three Days Grace, Seether, Code Orange, Sleeping With Siren, Lacuna Coil, and more.

Korn recently released their new album Requiem, which is their 14th studio album. In a review of the album, NME noted: “Requiem has brought something new to the discography that was, until now, an exploration of human suffering. This led to the band’s most nuanced recording to date.”

Elsewhere, Korn Band member Jonathan Davis, Fatboy Slim, Jewel, Bush, and Gavin Rossdale, all gave interviews for the recent Netflix Woodstock ’99 documentary series, Clusterfuck.

Korn Freak on a Leash headlined the Inkcarceration Music & Tattoo Festival 2022 with Evanescence, Disturbed, and Breaking Benjamin on July 15-17, 2022. The music festival was held at the Ohio State Reformatory, an old prison that became famous for being the setting in the film The Shawshank Redemption.

Korn and Papa Roach perform on the first night (July 15), Breaking Benjamin and Evanescence will headline the second night (July 16), and Disturbed and Lamb of God will close the festival (July 17).

Co-founder of the festival, Daniel Janssen, said: “The 2022 edition will by far be our most ambitious year. The partnership with the Danny Wimmer Presents team really enhances all aspects of the festival and fan experience. Seeing the excitement this event continues to bring to the state and city of Mansfield, along with the support of fans from across the country, makes me incredibly proud to call Ohio my home.”

David Draiman of Disturbed added: “We are thrilled to be playing on the historic and sacred grounds of the Ohio State Reformatory for our first Inkcarceration. Oh, yeah, are you ready?”

Meanwhile, Evanescence has performed a cover of Heavy, Linkin Park’s single with help from Halestorm’s Lzzy Hale. In a recent interview, Hale explained their decision to cover the song:

“[Amy and I] tossed some ideas back and forth and then, suddenly, we landed at Linkin Park. And [we think], you know? That would be really cool because inadvertently it would be a tribute to Chester, but also, all about this song, we’ve all been through it – all of it.”

Korn Band is a nu metal band from Bakersfield, California, the United States formed in 1993. The band is best known for pioneering the nu metal genre and bringing it into the mainstream.

Originally, Korn was formed in 1993 by the three-member band L.A.P.D., Korn’s current lineup features founding member James “Munky” Shaffer (guitar); Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu (bass); Brian “Head” Welch (guitar, backing vocals); and Jonathan Davis (lead vocals, bagpipes), with the addition of Ray Luzier (drums) in 2007, replacing the band’s first drummer David Silveria.

Their debut album, Korn, was released in 1994, followed by Life Is Peachy in 1996. The band first experienced mainstream success with Follow the Leader (1998) and Issues (1999), both of which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200.

The band has released 48 singles, the most notable of which include Blind; Got the Life; Freak on a Leash; Falling Away From Me; Here To Stay; Did My Time; Twisted Transistors; Coming Undone; and Get Ups! Korn has received two Grammy Awards from eight nominations and two MTV Video Music Awards from 11 nominations.
