Jason Derulo Reveals His Final Album: “My Best Work Yet”

Jason Derulo, the acclaimed American singer and songwriter, has officially announced his upcoming album. However, this release will mark the final album of his career as he shifts his focus to other pursuits.

In a recent interview, the “Talk Dirty” hitmaker expressed that this project represents the pinnacle of his musical journey. “I am at the peak of my life. I feel like a better singer than ever, a better songwriter than ever, and I have so much to share,” Jason Derulo stated, as quoted by The Straits Times on March 12, 2025.

Despite his success, the singer revealed that he has aspirations beyond music, leading to the decision to make this album his last.

“There are other things I want to do, and I want to transition into a different chapter of my life.”

Derulo hinted that his energy will now be devoted to new ventures, including filmmaking and business development.

“I will be putting a lot of effort into making films, expanding my business empire, and focusing on my family.”

A Multi-Talented Artist with Expanding Horizons

This is not Derulo’s first venture into the film industry. In 2023, he starred in the musical biopic “Spinning Gold”, directed by Timothy Scott Bogart, where he played Ron Isley alongside stars like Jeremy Jordan, Winslow Fegley, Casey Likes, and Michelle Monaghan.

Beyond music and acting, Jason Derulo is a successful entrepreneur. In a 2023 Forbes interview, he disclosed his investment in a car wash business valued at $2 million (approximately Rp32 billion).

Born Jason Joel Desrouleaux on September 21, 1989, Derulo rose to fame with global hits like “Whatcha Say,” “Talk Dirty,” and “Want to Want Me.”

In 2024, he released “NU King,” an album featuring 27 songs, including popular tracks like “Swalla” and “Take You Dancing.”

Prior to this, Derulo made his Hollywood debut in 2019, starring in the musical film “Cats”, where he portrayed Rum Tum Tugger, a character inspired by T.S. Eliot’s poetry collection “Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats.”
