Zakk Wylde Overdrive Pedal Review

Zakk Wylde Overdrive  – Another guitarist’s product is identical to his bullseye guitar. Like endless, Jim Dunlop also issued a Zakk Wylde Overdrive effect. This flexible effect can be used either as a booster for distorted amps or on amps with clean sound.

This stompbox with three knobs (output, tone, gain) is not difficult to use. Maybe the thing that is a little annoying is when dealing with power sources, because the location of the adapter input which is on the right side of the effect, is different from other effects in general. And also if we want to use the battery, we have to unscrew the four bolts before we can install the 9V battery.

As for sound, when used on channel drive amps this effect adds sustain to your guitar sound and keeps the dynamics of your picking clear. There is a little noise but still in the safe category. Although this effect is more often used as a booster on the channel drive amp, when we use it on the clean channel as a crunch pedal, this effect still works very well. String definition is maintained with tight and punchy lows.

With a smooth tone character, this effect is flexible enough to be used in various musical genres. Perhaps the only drawback is the position of the input adapter as described above. Or maybe it’s a tactic to get us to also buy a Dunlop power supply?
