American emo rock band The Funeral Portrait has stirred the rock scene once again with the release of a new version of their single “Holy Water”. This reimagined track features a stunning collaboration with Ivan Moody, the iconic frontman of Five Finger Death Punch, whose powerful vocals bring a fresh emotional intensity to the song.

Part of Deluxe Album “Greetings From Suffocate City”

The new version of “Holy Water” will be featured as the second track on the upcoming deluxe edition of Greetings From Suffocate City, the band’s second full-length album. Set to be released on June 13, 2025, via Better Noise Music, the deluxe edition has already received critical praise.

Initially debuting at #21 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Tracks chart, “Holy Water” has now climbed to an impressive #14, signaling its growing popularity.

Gothic-Inspired Music Video

Accompanying the single is a music video directed by Michael Lombardi from Better Noise Films. The video for “Holy Water” features gothic aesthetics and a storyline revealing how lead vocalist Lee Jennings gains the power to ignite passion among fans worldwide.

“We filmed Ivan Moody deep in the canyons of Prescott, Arizona,” Lombardi shared. “Capturing The Funeral Portrait between shows in a hauntingly beautiful abandoned gothic church in Poconos, Pennsylvania, added an epic visual narrative.”

Unforgettable Experience for the Band

According to Lee Jennings, the filming process was nothing short of surreal. “The ‘Holy Water’ video shoot was absolutely insane! Every frame felt cinematic. Michael Lombardi brought a vision far beyond what we imagined,” said Jennings.

He added, “Ivan Moody‘s presence brought the song to a whole new level. We can’t wait for fans to see what we created—it’s dark, intense, and truly special.”

Tracklist and Additional Content

The digital deluxe version of Greetings From Suffocate City will contain 24 tracks, including the new “Holy Water” featuring Ivan Moody. It will also compile tracks from the EPs CASSANOVA and FROM BEYOND THE ABYSS, as well as an updated version of “Hearse for Two” featuring Lilith Czar.

Additionally, the deluxe release includes three brand new songs: “Skinny Lies,” “Evergreen,” and “Lost Boy.” The physical edition, available in vinyl and CD formats, will include 21 tracks with an exclusive bonus track titled “Friends Like These,” which is only available in the physical form.

Originally released on September 13, 2024, Greetings From Suffocate City features 14 tracks filled with theatrical, dramatic, and uncompromising energy.
