Stand Atlantic Released New Single and Music Video “Switchblade”
Stand Atlantic, a Pop-punk band has released a new single titled Switchblade. The new song is another single from their upcoming third album F.E.A.R. This song is the fifth song from the album. Like the other singles so far, it was co-written by vocalist and guitarist Bonnie Fraser with The Dead Love vocalist Stevie Knight, who also served as producer for the single.
Stand Atlantic vocalist and guitarist Bonnie Fraser explains the meaning behind the Australian pop-punk unit’s latest effort. Bonnie says, “When you’re feeling trapped, and you want to make people happy, sometimes you feel like you don’t want it on your own—like you’re someone’s voodoo doll. or something. If someone you know is having a really bad time and takes it out on you because of you. is the person they are closest to, it can be debilitating, especially when you have an inner turmoil you are trying to deal with.”
“For me personally, it felt like I didn’t have the space to have my feelings and I didn’t know how to set boundaries. I went to therapy and this song is a direct result of the emotions that basically spit out into a song.”
When asked why this was again an important record for the band, Bonnie enthusiastically replied, “Knowing what my friends and I have been going through in the last two years, is almost a relief. This is a place to put all those bad feelings and bad times. into an album, and then you can let it go. That’s what I’ve been doing my whole life; that’s what I’ve done with songs, it’s a way for me to take my feelings out and put them to sleep. So that’s why I think it’s special.”
The Switchblade single will probably serve as the final preview of the F.E.A.R. album. before being released on May 6, 2022, via Hopeless Records. The extensive release for this album has included several singles over the past 12 months such as Deathwish (featuring Nothing, Nowhere), Molotov [OK], Pity Party (featuring Royal & The Serpent), and Hair Out. Apart from the single album, the band was also listed on the Birds Of Tokyo track, Superglue, in September last year.
F.E.A.R., an acronym for “fuck everything and run,” will follow Stand Atlantic’s 2020 album Pink Elephant. In a four-star review, NME described the album as an “upcoming form of pop-punk”.
“Engaging, exciting, and with a sinister sense of self, this album is full of big choruses and bigger dreams as the band put their hearts on and chases new sensations,” it reads.
Last month, before the release of the Switchblade single, Stand Atlantic again presented a new single and music video entitled Hair Out. This single was released to welcome their new album which will be released soon. This new song will be included in the album F.E.A.R. single hair out is a strong critique of Stand Atlantic for abuse and the worst things that can happen online. Vocalist Bonnie Fraser said of the message in the song: “The worst thing about people on the internet is that we are forced to swallow their opinions about us or about what we do.”
Bonnie is of course referring to the labeling as well as other people’s evaluation of Stand Atlantic’s work and performance that followed the success of Stand Atlantic’s previous album, Pink Elephant. These various assessments also sparked Stand Atlantic to release works based on a qualified indifference to the F.E.A.R album later.
Meanwhile, in January, Stand Atlantic announced the release of a new album as well as the release of their new single and music video, pity party. In the single, which opens in early 2022, Stand Atlantic features alternative pop musicians from the United States, Royal & The Serpent. Single pity party is a collaboration between a pop-punk unit and an American singer-songwriter in today’s alternative rock world.

Stand Atlantic is a pop-punk band from Sydney, Australia. The band was formed in 2012 with members Bonnie Fraser (vocals/guitarist), David Potter (guitar), Miki Rich (bass), and Jonno Panichi (drums).
Stand Atlantic rose to prominence on the Australian music scene with the release of their demo EPs, Catalyst (2013) and A Place Apart (2015).
