SSL 2 AND SSL2+ for Writing and Recording Music
SSL 2 – About two years ago, Solid State Logic surprised audio enthusiasts around the world with the announcement of two new types of audio interfaces. Most of them certainly know very well that SSL is known for its high-end analog studio equipment that has high prices, such as one of their popular production gear, the SSL series bus compressor. But this may all shift with the arrival of the new SSL2 and SSL2+ audio.
Without compromising on all the magic of SSL (Solid State Logic), including Legacy 4K analog upgrades, high-end studio-quality monitoring, and a neat little SSL Production Package software bundle, all at an affordable price.

In terms of form, it seems that this gear is almost the same, the difference is in the number of outputs and headphone outputs. So what are the advantages of these two gears? Herein lies the real power of this little audio interface. If you’re a long-time person in this field, chances are you’ve heard, or maybe even know, about the SSL console. At least maybe you’ve heard these two facts:
SSL is an expensive product, especially the 4k or 4000 SSL series consoles, SSL has the sonic character that musicians dream of, at least if we look at the ability of this tool to turn sounds that are considered boring into sounds that are interesting and unique.
This character is what makes SSL2 and SSL2+ the selling point, the legacy 4k button which is an adaptation of SSL4K technology captures the audio input signal and then applies SSL4K sonic characteristics which can be obtained for under Rp. 5 million. This claim is also what I think makes a lot of people curious. Including me who can’t wait to test this feature to see how good it is.

SSL2 and SSL2+ come with two class-leading mic preamps. This gear is more complete with a combination of integrated circuits and low-noise transistors. This advantage means that the noise produced will be very low.
Apart from that, both SSL2 and SSL2+, are also giving away free software as part of their promotion. You get the SSL Native Vocalstrip 2 & Drumstrip plug-ins plus a six-month trial of the full suite of Avid Pro Tools, an exclusive SSL collection of 23 AAX plug-ins including the classic compressor bundle: BF-2A, BF-3A, Purple Audio MC77, Fairchild 660, Fairchild 670, and Ableton Live Lite. So it feels like it’s time for you to try it yourself and really listen to the advantages for yourself.
