Show Me The Body Band Release New Album, Loose Talk
Show Me The Body Band – New York’s hardcore punk unit is back. They released a new single titled Loose Talk which acts as their first release in 2022. This single was officially released on July 11, 2022, and the appearance of this single will follow their US tour schedule and was released just after their recent UK tour.
The single Loose Talk from Show Me The Body is also equipped with a music video featuring black-and-white visualization. The music video for Loose Talk is directed by the vocalist, Julian Pratt himself, and shows scenes of a party drinking alcohol, guns, and madness at the party. Show Me The Body Band has kicked off its United States tour on July 12, 2022, supported by performances by SOUL GLO and WiFiGawd. The band’s performances began in Columbus. They will also arrive in other cities such as Dallas, Oakland, Seattle, and Denver. They also have a performance date in Los Angeles at the In Broad Daylight event at The Belasco Theatre, ending in Baltimore on August 13, 2022.
In March 2021, this hardcore trio from New York City released a new EP titled Survive through Loma Vista. The new EP is the follow-up to their 2019 full-length album Dog Whistle.
Regarding their latest EP at the time, the band said, “During this period of isolation we had to recalibrate. Recalibrate how we exist as a band and how we grow stronger in our community. Our live show is not just a moment for us, it’s our weapon, our language, and our ceremony. Without it, we’d have to reconfigure the way we interact with our community.”
In addition, Show Me The Body has also set up a headquarters for their CORPUS community during the pandemic. They explain: “With our team, we started CORPUS Family, the CORPUS branch focused on community initiatives; Burning World Book Club, running a clothing business, and studio residency. We are preparing for the CORPUS Self-Defense initiative as well as an open hour session as soon as safety allows.”
“We built a studio in our head office. Survive was the first project written and recorded from top to bottom at the CORPUS studio. The songs deal with spiritual and physical isolation, as well as staying ready and prepared for the next encounter,” they continued.
Reviewing 2019 Show Me The Body Band album, Dog Whistle, NME wrote: “Dog Whistle is at its heart a dedication to the community, friends, and family at the heart of Show Me The Body, and the gathering of their art collective through record label CORPUS. The EP Dog Whistle is a manifesto for all that the early days of Show Me The Body promised. ‘Body warfare’ is their chaotic opening step, a stick of dynamite at the feet of the established order. Now, together, the band is building something even better.”
Show Me the Body itself is a hardcore punk unit from New York City, New York, United States. Their sound is very interesting in hip-hop, noise music, and sludge metal. The band consists of four members, including Julian Cashwan Pratt (lead vocals and banjo).

Although punk-oriented, Show Me the Body combines the sounds of hip-hop, sludge metal, and noise music to create an abrasive style. Their conventional instruments, such as the Pratt banjo and Steed bass, are accompanied by a series of pedals, feedback, and computer programming that make up the distortion characteristic found in much of their music. Pratt’s vocals along with Cohen-Corbett’s aggressive drumming help complement and add weight to the band’s grunge-influenced songs. Notable collaborators of Show Me the Body include, but are not limited to, Denzel Curry, Princess Nokia, Dreamcrusher, Wiki, Foreign Exchange Mall, and Ratking. They have toured with King Krule, Daughters, and HEALTH.
