Uses 5 preamp tubes, 8 channels, 90 presets, midi and FX loops, with all the routing a guitarist needs. In the scope of tube preamps, this product is considered to be in the category of modern preamps when viewed from the features it provides. Even though it is a digital unit, all the audio paths are tube/analog.

- The Triaxis preamp is digitally controlled but with a difference – over 3 years of R&D, Boogie quality, simple controls almost like knobs, smart amp controls that can change the overall voicing of the main power amp, continuous controller for every sound-related parameter in the unit and a huge number of 90 preset sounds for instant recall. Because you can map these presets to anywhere with the Ground Control system; in reality, any sound is just one button away.

This preamp provides five channel options; clean, crunch, Lead 1, lead 2 and lead 2 Red. The clean sound produced by triaxis may fall into the “safe” category, perhaps the best sound produced by this preamp lies in the Lead 2 channel; which is tone reminiscent of Metallica and Dream Theater’s sound. The downside of this preamp is that the sound might be too “mesa”, so if you need a different sound character, you have to buy another product.
