MESA / BOOGIE JP2C Amps John Petrucci Signature Review
MESA / BOOGIE JP2C – John Petrucci who has more or less used Mesa/Boogie as an amp for both studio and stage purposes, finally has his own signature series which has the JP2C series.
This amp takes the Mesa/Boogie C+ series as the basis for the circuit board and transformer. The Mesa/Boogie Mark IIC+ series is indeed the Dream Theater guitarist’s favorite amp. over the years this amp has been featured on Dream Theater albums.
This amp has three channels (clean, and two lead channels) with a separate equalizer for each channel. The striking thing about this amp is its smaller head size, which allows it to fit into rack mounting.
The special feature found in this amp is the “shred” feature which serves to add the upper harmonics and midrange frequencies of our initial sound.
With this feature, it will be easier for users to get clarity when they are using heavy guitar sound or tuning.
