Feeder Band Release 4th Single to Welcome “Torpedo” Album
Feeder Band – As you know, Britpop is a musical movement that has succeeded in producing quite unique musicians. However, despite their uniqueness, not infrequently after the collapse of the Britpop era, the musicians behind it also lost their way. But not for Feeder. Feeder is a band from Wales that was also born and developed in the Britpop era and is still able to maintain its consistency and popularity outside of that era.
This consistency is proven by Feeder Band by continuing to work as a representative of its development in each generation. In 2022, Feeder is still enthusiastic about working and opening a new chapter of their career which has been started since 1994. In 2022, Feeder has just introduced a new single entitled The Healing. The new single from Feeder is taken from their projected 11th album titled Torpedo.
Released in late January 2022, The Healing is Feeder’s fourth single was released as part of the celebration of the arrival of the Torpedo album. Previously, Feeder first released their works entitled Wall Of Silence, Magpie, and Torpedo which was also used for the title of this 11th album.
Feeder explained that there was a special treatment they did in writing this single The Healing. Granted Nicholas, frontman for Feeder, in the process of writing the musician tried to realize the concept of rock that is in the soundtrack of a film or musical theatre. According to the vocalist from Feeder, this was done so that listeners would not only enjoy the music but also enjoy the journey that it was trying to offer.
The main inspiration for the writing of Feeder’s new song is the reflection of the existing reality. This Welsh rock band wants to keep reminding people about the problems that exist in the world today. Both the pandemic and climate change, are currently not being taken seriously. Feeder Band wants this song The Healing to be a call for people to take part in maintaining a better condition of the world and its contents. Through this song, Feeder believes that change can be made together.
After releasing their new single, Feeder also revealed that they can’t wait to share all the new material with their fans. According to Feeder, their latest album has the heaviest musical nuance compared to their previous works. Therefore, they want to be able to quickly hold a concert tour and play it live.
Feeder Band also stated that even though it will be a promotional concert tour for the album Torpedo, they will still bring Feeder classics that have the same nuance and spirit as what they designed through this 11th album. Regarding the latest concert tour schedule from Feeder, they are planning to open their first concert at the end of April and close it in early May. In the promotion of the album Torpedo, Feeder focused on holding concerts in the United Kingdom area first.
Feeder’s 11th album, Torpedo is slated for release in March. Feeder’s new album was released under the auspices of the record label Big Teeth Music. Feeder’s 11th album continues its career journey after the album Talullah in 2019. The distance that is not too far proves that as one of the classic bands, Feeder still wants to try to bring relevance to his works.
The release of the album Talullah also seemed to revive Feeder’s enthusiasm to work consistently. The reason is, the tenth album from Feeder has managed to re-elevate the band’s name to the commercial realm. Talullah managed to reach number 4 for album charts across the United Kingdom when it was released. Talullah is also Feeder’s album which re-entered the top 5 after 2005 with the album Pushing and Senses.
The success of this Talullah album also presents a special impression for Grant Nicholas. The reason is, the tenth album from Feeder, the title is taken from the name of the daughter of a friend of the Feeder vocalist. Through the presence of the Talullah album, the vocalist from Feeder wants to convey the message of the importance of maintaining life and happiness for children. In addition, this tenth album from Feeder also talks about the importance of Grant Nicholas’ life journey after becoming a father.
During the promotion period for the Talullah album, Feeder released four unique singles. The first is Fear Of Flying. For the first single from Feeder, vocalist Grant Nicholas wrote the song from the point of view of a female rock musician. But he also includes some of his personal experiences in living life in the band.
In addition, Feeder Band also released a single with a special story entitled Blue Sky Blue for this Talullah album. The special song is an attempt by Grant Nicholas who successfully collaborated on songwriting with Liam Gallagher. However, in fact, it was canceled. One of the factors that became an obstacle was Liam Gallagher’s unavailable time because he was busy preparing a new album at that time.
