Diezel Amp Head VH4 Review
Diezel Amp Head – Over the last few years, Diezel amplifiers have become the must-have amp of choice for some of the high-profile guitarists on the planet. Call it James Hetfield, Billy Corgan, and Matt Bellamy are three of the many people who have used this four-channel German amp.
Peter Diezel who is the founder of Diezel amplification, began to dabble in the world of guitar amplification by modifying Marshall in Munich in 1980 and founding the company with Peter Stapfer in the early 1990s. The first VH4s were produced in early 1994, only in recent years has the profile of this company accelerated after many top rock musicians started using this amp.
This amp consisting of four channels with each equalizer makes it easy for us to get a variety of sounds, from clean sound (channel 1) to super high-gain (channel 4).
Maybe for a clean sound, this amp can be said to only have a clean sound that falls into the “enough” category, because it can’t match the clean sound produced by amps like Fender blackface or the like. Channel two is designed for crunch/classic rock sound. With a character that resembles a Plexi amp like the sound of AC/DC.
And finally, on Diezel Amp Head we tried channels 3 & 4, the channel we have been waiting to sound. Channel 3 does have the sound one would expect, true to its label as a high-gain amp. The resulting sound is juicy and powerful. And what’s unique is that we can still adjust the level of distortion according to the character of the music we want, from indie rock overdrive to trash metal distortion or even more extreme ones.

Channel 4, still has a bit more distortion than channel 4, maybe with more compression than channel 3. In my personal opinion, channel 3 produces a more musical distortion sound with natural dynamics.
For guitarists who play in bands with a dominant high-gain guitar sound, Diezel Amp Head Amp is on the “must try” list. Maybe for guitarists who are “specialists” with a clean sound or vintage crunch, it might be a good idea not to buy this amp from the start. And also this amp is designed for large-scale stages, but the people from Diezel are rumored to want to release a mini/micro version of the Diezel VH4. we’ll just have to wait.
