Cassyette Share Music Video For Single Album, SAD GIRL SUMMER
Cassyette, The British singer-songwriter has released a single titled Sad Girl Summer. The single was released on May 24, 2022, and has been the perfect soundtrack for the past few months. Now, Cassyette has new visual material in the form of a music video for the single.
The music video for Sad Girl Summer is absolutely brilliant. In the video, Cassyette can be seen inviting people in gothic dresses to go to the beach and have fun in their own madness. When viewed from several sides, this music video is very entertaining and fits the message of the song, “f**k you”.
Cassyette has revealed before, “Sad Girl Summer is all about being ripped off. It’s a ‘fuck you’ song and I want people to feel empowered by it. Anyone who has ever been cheated will understand the pain. This is proper anger in the chorus. I’m so sick of it as I write this, and I’m crying for them so much. I wrote it for two days and on the first day I was very depressed, and on the second day I wanted to reverse the song and reclaim its power.”
Of the music video, Cassyette shared in a statement, “Sad Girl Summer was so much fun to film. I had to destroy the whole table… I had a baseball bat and smashed everything. It was amazing. It was a home run. Seriously, though, it’s one of the best things I’ve done so far.”
“Jamie the director has the most amazing concept. I went to him and said I wanted ‘goths on the beach and poison frog colors’ and he came back with a nun fetish, a love-rejected bride, and a kinky sour ride. I feel like he really nailed my personality.”
Cassyette officially released the energetic emo summer track Sad Girl Summer last May, alongside two standout new songs. Talking about her new single, Cassyette explained how the song “fuck you” was written with the “proper chorus rager” in mind.
“Sad Girl Summer is all about being ripped off. It’s a ‘fuck you song and I want people to feel empowered by it. Anyone who has ever been cheated will understand the pain. It’s a proper outrage in the chorus,” Cassyette said.

Along with the release of the song Sad Girl Summer, the up-and-coming Cassyette shared an acoustic performance of her brilliant hit, Mayhem, and Dead Roses which was still fresh at the time.
In a press statement, Cassyette revealed that she wrote Dead Roses the day after she wrote Mayhem. He revealed, “I realized that my relationship at that time had ended and was not like before. The line ‘we slept on dead roses’ is a metaphor for that and the thorn is the pain I felt when I realized we had broken up.”
The Dear Goth singer also shared why he tends to release pop-punk-inspired singles.
Cassyette explains, “I love these songs so much that I’m really torn between putting out something more pop-punk like Sad Girl Summer or something really heavy like Dead Roses. In the end, I thought, Why not give my fans both and a stripped-down version of Mayhem?”

The singer will also be embarking on a headline tour titled Sad Girl Summer in the UK in September. The main tour followed an appearance at The Great Escape and a support slot with My Chemical Romance at Stadium MK. He also played festival sets at the Slam Dunk Festival and Download Festival, with a slot at Reading & Leeds set for next weekend.
Cassyette will arrive in a number of cities in England, Scotland, and Wales such as Glasgow, Cardiff, Sheffield, Manchester, Southampton, and London throughout this September.
Behind that, the name Cassyette is a moniker for Cassy Brooking, who is known professionally as an English singer and songwriter. Her debut single, Jean, was released on September 6, 2019. She has been described by Clash Magazine as a Nu Metal “pop provocateur” and an “electro-pop princess to stay on your radar” in photographer and director Rankin’s Hunger Magazine. MTV said that Cassyette’s “style is hardcore, girl-fueled rock”. “Cassyette is a rising new rock star”.
