Blondshell Release New Single Album Titled SEPSIS

Blondshell, a Grunge-pop musician continues to build momentum with her incredible new single. This time, Blondshell has officially released its new single, Sepsis. The singer whose real name is Sabrina Teitelbaum then explained this song.

“Amid COVID, I became obsessed with Hole’s song Doll Parts and it inspired me to write something cathartic and upsetting. I wrote Sepsis as a way of letting out anger — anger at people who have treated me as if I don’t deserve attention and anger at myself for receiving that treatment,” she said.

In this endeavor, Blondshell wants to create some accountability with this song and also sings about the counterproductive nature of trying to outrun loneliness.

“Most importantly I want to give myself permission to be as dramatic as possible and say out loud that I’m afraid the bad feelings might actually kill me.”

The music video for the single Sepsis was shot in Los Angeles with a Super-8 camera and directed by Seann Bryan.

Sabrina Teitelbaum wrote these Sepsis songs honestly and unguardedly. She starts by acknowledging the fact that she’s back at men she knows it’s not good to be around her. Her therapist, perhaps hired in part to cope with the effects, disapproved and reviews of her taste in clothing and sexual performance (“almost always poor”) were not flattering.

Comparing the association with sepsis—the type of infection that causes amputations—is a dramatic metaphor. However, Sabrina Teitelbaum found a life lesson amidst red flags waving merrily in the wind.

She expresses her deepest feelings among the types of grunge guitars that pierce through the mud and come out beautiful, she sings to find acceptance in “some guy stares” and wonders why she isn’t bothered by the bad treatment she’s received. It’s angry, no doubt about it, but there’s a pain that adds muscle to the punch he puts out as well.

Written from the front lines of this kind of battle, Sepsis would be a troubling confession. However, coming out the other side the song acts more as an exploration of how she uses a relationship she failed to understand to gain a greater grip on her own self-esteem. This is kind of backward logic but one you can propose below is “painful love.”

Sepsis is Blondshell’s third single after she released her first two singles this summer. His debut was the single Olympus and Kiss City which was released last July. Sepsis is noted as a single that will showcase Sabrina Teitelbaum’s extraordinary singing skills through soft to loud transitions that build tension.

This song is raw and anthemic. The lyrics are written very honestly and optimistically to fight a “toxic” relationship and state that we can get more out of a relationship.

Los Angeles-based Sabrina Teitelbaum has played her first show in support of Horsegirl at The Echo in Los Angeles, USA. The show resulted in a viral TikTok moment from his performance. This September, Blondshell will be performing at the road opening for Porridge Radio. The date starts September 6, 2022, and ends September 17, 2022. The tour stops in LA on September 7 for a show in the Lodge Room.

Additionally, she has announced a London date of September 26 and the exciting news is that she has been added to this year’s Austin City Limit Festival. Tickets are on sale now and all dates are listed below.

Blondshell is Sabrina Teitelbaum’s furthest, clearest, and most vulnerable side. Blondshell is a woman who knows where her wounds are instead of turning away. He studied it, cleaned it, and sewed it back together.

Growing up in the early 2000s in a chaotic New York City household, Sabrina Teitelbaum found comfort in the music of legends such as Patti Smith, Joy Division, and Velvet Underground. In that phase, he found Imogen Heap and Elliott Smith, singing their songs on open mic nights around Manhattan. He discovered his sexuality around this time and found confidence in his strange identity while walking around the Lower East Side and listening to Tracy Chapman and Sophie B. Hawkins.

Teitelbaum quickly learns to tell his own story through songwriting and finds relief in confessional lyrics – parts that are just as devastating and funny, sexy and tempestuous, but always so relatable. It took some time and previous projects to find her voice, but she has always stuck to the uncompromising truth in music, having honed her technique with producer Yves Rothman.
