Crawlers Band Release New Single Album, I DON’T WANT IT
Crawlers Band – Following their 2022 singles I Can’t Drive and Fuck Me (I Didn’t Know How To Say), Crawlers are back with their brilliant new anthemic single, I Don’t Want It.
Crawlers Band vocalist Holly Minto said of their latest anthemic single, “I Don’t Want It covers what it’s like to grow up in today’s society and how it affects the mental health of the modern generation from first and third perspectives.”
“I have a lot of unhealthy habits that I am very aware of, but they don’t seem to change and seem to be manifesting into worse problems which I try to ignore, this is also not my own problem, so many of us are aware of our self-destructive behavior but we ignore it for the sake of it is easier than recovery, “said Holly Minto continued.
In her statement, Holly also revealed, “I think the song really paid off when my therapist said, ‘You’re very self-conscious, aren’t you?’ It’s a curse we all have, especially gen Z. Maybe because self-deprecation has become normal, which I hate but I can’t help but feed.”
Therefore, he continued, writing the song was the best way he did to bring out the many behaviors he wanted to change about himself. He also criticized other behaviors that society tends to normalize while growing up in their teens and early 20s.
“As soon as Amy [Woodall] sent me the riff, I knew right away that I wanted to bring out this special feeling and make a song with people that sounded like the music I was listening to, especially when I got involved in the behavior mentioned in the lyrics, which is always indie with killer riffs and fat hooks—a bit full circle.”
This past March, the Liverpool band shared their incredible new single and music video called I Can’t Drive. The single followed the viral hit Come Over (Again).
The quartet’s latest effort is about the “romanticism of mental illness and heartbreak and how the media portrays it versus reality.”
Vocalist Holly Minto said at the time, “This situation is about how my brother and I experienced a toxic breakup. My mom made sure we didn’t need anyone else by filing for divorce from my dad and we all went through it together.”
After accumulating over 24 million streams, the group was later taken over by Polydor Records. They also made their big label debut with this single I Can’t Drive which turned out to be a match for the punchy, guitar-led songwriting with more personal lyrics. This song reveals mental health and offers a vivid portrayal of reality.
After the single I Can’t Drive which was released in March, Crawlers Band still continued to release a single titled Fuck Me (I Didn’t Know How To Say). The single follows the brilliant track I Can’t Drive and is the band’s latest effort.
Vocalist Holly Minto again revealed, “A very personal song for us as a band.”
“This song covers the two ideas behind sex. First the trauma and disgust after the sexual assault, and then the idea of how at the time of writing I had not felt loved and was only being used for my body and for sex rather than the love I really wanted at the time.”

“There’s a song [lyric] that goes ‘You kiss me just to kiss me’ and I’m like, ‘Damn, I’ve never been kissed just to be kissed.’ I just sat there and had a little moment about it and was like, ‘Did I just let people use me so I can feel loved?’”
Then in August, Crawlers Band followed their incredible single of 2022 with a six-track mixtape that will debut in October. The four of them will release the mixtape Loud Without Noise on October 28, 2022, later via Polydor, after teasing that it will come on their brilliant Reading & Leeds set.
After breaking through massively this year, Crawlers Band explains what they’re all about for listeners who may be new to the band: “It’s really hard to find a safe place—especially for young people, geeks, and misinterpreted people or groups who underrepresented—and being able to do so with our platform is something we look forward to exploring and breaking through.”
