Bring Me The Horizon Release The New Single, STRANGERS
Bring Me The Horizon has once again shown their productivity by releasing a new song, sTraNgeRs, which can also be written as Strangers. It was announced in June that they already had a specific release date for this new single and had also leaked the new song.
The song sTraNgeRs was first revealed on a DJ set hosted by Bring Me The Horizon on the first night of the Malta Weekender festival. As with most of the band’s studio material these days, the version of the song they play features loud electric guitars and thumping drums.
Even so, the song that appeared earlier doesn’t seem to be the version of the song they officially released. Instead, the song, titled Strangers, seems to have been revamped with a more subdued, controlled ballad scent. In the teaser video, which was shared on June 22, 2022, on Twitter, vocalist Oli Sykes and keyboardist Jordan Fish sing along with guitarist Lee Malia’s guitar strumming.
Bring Me The Horizon itself released the song sTraNgeRs on July 6, 2022. This song will be the band’s first official single in 2022. However, Bring Me The Horizon itself has released several collaboration singles over the past year. Some of the Bring Me The Horizon collaboration singles include Maybe with Machine Gun Kelly; Bad Life with Sigrid; Fallout with Masked Wolf; VAMPIRE with IC3PEAK; and Let’s Get The Party Started with Tom Morello.
In addition, this year’s Bring Me The Horizon also joins Ed Sheeran for a new version of his single, Bad Habits, after it premiered at this year’s BRIT Awards. Oil Sykes et al. also contributed the song Moon Over Castle to the soundtrack of the game Gran Turismo 7.
Meanwhile, the last non-collaboration single that was released by Bring Me The Horizon was a song called DiE4u, which was released in September 2021. As with the single Strangers, the song is expected to appear as the next preview of Bring Me The Horizon’s Post Human EP series slated for release sometime this year. Their first leak, the EP Post Human: Survival Horror, was released in October 2020.
In a 2021 interview with NME, Oli Sykes said the band was working on parts two, three, and four” of the series. They were trying to reassure fans that they would get the song out as soon as they could.
Furthermore, a more recent teaser for Post Human 2 came last May, when Oli Sykes revealed that they had been working on recordings for about a year and already had a lot of music they could choose from to release.
In April, Bring Me The Horizon announced that it would be holding its own music festival, Malta Weekender. Bring Me The Horizon also succeeded in making fans even more excited about the big festival. Moreover, the band has also announced auditions for an additional line-up of bands that will perform throughout the music festival.
At that time, PVRIS and Wargasm were reportedly unable to enter the line-up. Meanwhile, the line-up that has been made includes Ice Nine Kills, Malevolence, Static Dress, and DeathByRomy. The line-up also adds to the long list that had previously been filled with Bullet For My Valentine, Beartooth, While She Sleeps, Motionless In White, Spirit box, and Nova Twins.
Wargasm reportedly withdrew from the line-up at that time due to their tour schedule in the United States. Meanwhile, PVRIS has moved all planned UK and European tours to 2023.
Meanwhile, Bring Me The Horizon’s vocalist, Oli Sykes, said that through the festival they would like to hold a Bring Me The Horizon-themed festival in Malta next year. He also invites people to come with the craziness as one would expect from an all-metal rock festival.

Earlier this year, Bring Me The Horizon attended the BandLab NME Awards. The group also collected the trophy for “Best Band From The UK Supported by Pizza Express” in addition to performing six songs in their support of Ukraine. Then in May, the band announced details of an upcoming North American tour that runs from September to October and features supporting acts Knocked Loose, grandson, and Siiickbrain.
