Willow Band Release New Album “COPINGMECHANISM”
Willow Band – The beginning of August seems to be the most exciting and busiest moment for WILLOW. This year, WILLOW has collaborated with many musicians, from YUNGBLUD, Siiickbrain, Camila Cabello, Machine Gun Kelly, and many more.
It seems that WILLOW doesn’t have much time to focus on his own music. However, WILLOW itself has prepared the latest materials to be released. And, WILLOW recently finally confirmed the release of his new album entitled <CopingMechanism>. The new album is scheduled to be released in full on September 23, 2022, via Roc Nation.
WILLOW’s new album, <CopingMechanism>, is produced by WILLOW and Chris Greatti. The recording of this new album marks the alternative/indie artist’s fifth studio album and the follow-up to Lately I Feel Everything (2021).
To open his new album, WILLOW previewed a single titled hover like a GODDESS on August 5, 2022. At two minutes and twenty seconds long, this short but sweet song delivers an incredible punch. Featuring a rock-heavy sound, this new song addresses the turmoil of a burning love.
In his first verse, WILLOW sings: “Wanna think that I could get you into my bed/’Just meet me inside the bathroom’, that’s what she said/You’re all that I see, not only for me, oh-oh/ To taste you are sweet, my heart is in pieces/When I walk you f*cking hover like a goddess/Just meet me under the covers, baby, I wish/For you to be free, my only intent’s to please you.”
His new song, hover like a GODDESS, is a continuation of the single <maybe> it’s my fault which was released last June.
The album <CopingMechanism> itself will follow last year’s albums which were very good lately. His new album features WILLOW embracing elements of 2000s emo, including pop-punk, and indie.
We Giving a 4-star review for WILLOW’s new album and mentioning, “Calm and calm when needed but by no means lacking heart and passion, this album is a great collection of songs by an artist intent on forging his own path. It feels like nothing can stop WILLOW’s rise.”
By the end of June, WILLOW had produced follow-up material to his fourth album, Lately, I Feel Everything (2021). The material is a single entitled <maybe> it’s my fault. In the new single, WILLOW sinks into his feelings and questions his responsibility in an explosive breakup with another woman.
The singer, who identifies as LGBTQ+, has opened up about the emotions going back and forth with her partner. In the verse, WILLOW sings: “It’s all in my mind, it’s all in my mind / I try to rewind and all of the while / I’m hurtin’ inside, it’s your fault.”
When talking about this new single, WILLOW shared more about the meaning behind the single <maybe> it’s my fault. WILLOW says, “Too often in a tender emotional state, we try to blame our pain on others. Although none of us are perfect, it is in some capacity that we allow ourselves to enter into situations that do not fulfill our highest purpose.”
“<maybe> it’s my fault exploring what it’s like to hold ourselves equally responsible for the emotional pain we feel while also allowing ourselves to be human and fully process all of our feelings without shame,” WILLOW continues.
