The Darkness the Band from British Announces Seventh Album
The Darkness the Band of glam rock quartet from British, is preparing to release a new album in 2021. On the way to the album, which will be titled ‘Motorheart’, The Darkness periodically releases singles as their tracklist.
The first single released by them for this seventh studio album also has the same title: Motorheart. Released on 12 August, the single is thick with 80s rock nuances. According to the vocalist, Justin Hawkins, Motorheart is the heaviest song ever presented by The Darkness.
“This song makes me happy and proud to bring these works back to their foundations and do an amazing job in the production process. This will let you enjoy it. Enjoy,” said the frontman of The Darkness, as reported by NME.
Meanwhile, the new album The Darkness is scheduled to be officially released on November 19 through Cooking Vinyl.

To support the promotion of the album later, The Darkness is scheduled to tour the UK from November to December 2021. There are at least 22 places they will visit starting from November 17th.
The Darkness is not alone, during the tour they will be accompanied by the British Lion band which is a side project of Iron Maiden founder and bassist, Steve Harris.
“The time has come, said the walrus…to put your fookin pants on your head and rock. Come and party with us like it’s the last order at the last chance saloon,” Justin explained.
“It’s possible that it will be great, but I don’t want to comment further on that. The Darkness itself has started a career since 2000. Initially, Justin and Dan Hawkins played for several bands. Initially, The Darkness was called Empire and did not carry the glam rock genre. Until finally they changed their name to The Darkness.
The Darkness the band from British immediately got great success after releasing their debut album, Permission to Land in July 2003. This album topped the UK charts for 4 weeks and led The Darkness to win many awards.
After releasing their second album titled One Way Ticket to Hell…. and Back in 2005, The Darkness had disbanded because Justin Hawkins left to rehab and recover his condition.

It took about six years for The Darkness to regroup and immediately release a new album in 2012 titled Hot Cakes. After that, they were quite intense in releasing albums, such as the fourth album ‘Last of Our Kind’ in 2015, and the fifth album ‘Pinewood Smile’ in 2017.
The latest album The Darkness came in October 2019 with the title Easter Is Canceled. The album entered the top 10 of the UK charts. The album received a positive response from music critics with several hit singles such as “Heart Explodes” and “Rock and Roll Deserves to Die” became hits on British radios.
The Darkness should have a big celebration to promote this album in 2020 with a tour schedule in various parts of the world such as Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and North America. However, the plan failed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
