Tame Impala Release B-Sides Title “THE BOAT I ROW”

Tame Impala The Slow Rush – With the lack of concert schedules due to the pandemic, musicians often need to spin their heads to stay creative and productive in going about their day. The gig schedule, which was still not as busy as before, forced Tame Impala to return to the recording studio to process materials that had been made and had not been published.

This activity also proved to be successful in bringing Tame Impala something new in the form of single b-sides. B-sides is a term for works that are not included in an album but still have the same common thread as what the musician offered through the summary of his previous works. This time, the single b-sides entitled The Boat I Row is a work taken from the album Tame Impala The Slow Rush which was released by Tame Impala in 2020.

The introduction of The Boat I Row by Tame Impala is part of the promotional material for the deluxe version of the album The Slow Rush which was released on 18 February. Tame Impala’s journey in offering new things from the album Tame Impala The Slow Rush has started at the end of 2021. Prior to The Boat, I Row, Tame Impala also released a collaboration single with Lil Yachty entitled Breathe Deeper and another b-side single, No Choice, which was chosen to complete the deluxe version of the 2022 album The Slow Rush.

Tame Impala’s deluxe album The Slow Rush was released in a box set format. In the sales package, Tame Impala presents 2 vinyl records, new artwork, a 40-page booklet, and a calendar for 2050. In the two vinyl records presented by Tame Impala in the deluxe album The Slow Rush, several remixes were also performed. by other collaborating musicians.

After successfully releasing Tame Impala The Slow Rush on a deluxe album, Tame Impala also plans to release his fifth album in the near future. Kevin Parker as the motor behind Tame Impala explained that he might be going to let go of the old pattern of making albums. Like he did for the album Currents to the album The Slow Rush.

Tame Impala explained that the desire to release a new album had been around for a long time. This time, Tame Impala also stated that there were different things that made him want to be able to re-release an album in the near future. According to him, his career as a musician has opened up other potentials and dimensions in music. This is recognized as an evolution experienced by Tame Impala because in the past he only made music for the things he really liked.

Even though they had to experience difficulties in holding a concert, in 2021, Tame Impala finally managed to hold a concert in Australia. Held for two days, on March 5 and 6, Tame Impala managed to hold a sold-out concert in Perth, Australia. However, at the concert, there were things that were different from the appearance of Tame Impala. As a result of the two members being abroad and unable to return to Australia, Kevin Parker with Jay Watson and Dominic Simper inevitably had to perform Tame Impala on stage with special treatment. The two-day Tame Impala concert performance was presented as a DJ set, although there were several occasions that Tame Impala also used conventional instruments to complement the nuances of the songs performed. For this performance, Kevin Parker’s band name was also changed to the moniker Tame Impala Sound System.

Apart from that, Tame Impala is also coming back for the international stage. One of the music festivals visited by Tame Impala is Life Is Beautiful, a music festival held in Las Vegas. Apart from Tame Impala, the music festival will also feature performances from A$AP Rocky, Haim, Modest Mouse, Young Thug, Glass Animals, St. Vincent, Brittany Howard, Ashnikko, Yaeji, Billie Eilish, and Green Day. The stage concept offered at this concert is also quite unique. The stage of this music festival which is planned to be held in September will fill 18 points spread across the city of Las Vegas.

The 15-minute video also shows that Tame Impala was recording the InnerSpeaker in a house or villa located in Injidup, western Australia. The release of the short film InnerSpeaker Memories also coincided with the 10th anniversary of the release of Tame Impala’s debut album.
