Spotify 2023 Launched a Special Playlist to Celebrate New Year 2023

Spotify 2023 – To celebrate New Year 2023, Spotify, the Swedish company is giving users access to classic party playlists and ‘special takeovers’ from artists like Rita Ora, N-Dubz, and Céline Dion.

“We have plenty of music to rock your party, and it’s all in our newly launched New Years Hub,” Spotify wrote in a blog post, quoted by Techcrunch, Friday (30 December 2022).

“Whether you want a low-key night out or a big dance party, we’ve prepared a featured playlist to match the vibe you’re going for,” the caption added.

The New Year’s Hub includes lots of upbeat playlists, including “Party Hits”, “Afro Party Anthems”, “Get Turnt” and more.

On the other hand, there are also playlists for people who want to enjoy a simple New Year’s Eve, such as “Chill Hits”, “Comfort Zone”, and “Chillout Lounge”. The New Years’ Hub also includes many DJs from artists such as Tiësto, Hannah Laing, and Benny Benassi.

Spotify announced that starting January 1, users will find content to help them make resolutions on the app’s home page. While Spotify doesn’t provide specifics on what this content will look like, it will likely include things like exercise and meditation playlists.

Spotify says its platform is always looking at what users want over the new year, and it shows in the playlists users create.

Last year, 82,000 New Year’s Eve playlists were created between Christmas and January 31. Pop, hip-hop, trap, K-pop, and indie pop are the top genres played worldwide.

The genres that saw the most significant increase in listeners were cumbia, discofox, volksmusik, schlager, and partyschlager. “Hey Ya!”, “Uptown Funk” and “Mr. Brightside” were popular songs from the playlist.
