Pusha T New Album – Will be Very Special
Pusha T New Album – Pusha T, a rapper from Virginia, United States recently revealed that he is working hard to complete his latest album as a follow-up to his fourth album “It’s Almost Dry” (2022). Previously, in 2022 he had also released two mini albums titled “Push and P” and “Rags to Riches”.
The rapper and producer, who was also a member of the rap duo Clipse, made a response video to Spotify after the streaming platform tweeted a question to King Push: “What’s next?”
“I’m working on my new solo album, I’m working on a very special project for me right now,” Pusha said in a video response she shared on Spotify’s Twitter.
“It’s all about music and staying competitive and showing that there is room for what I do in hip-hop, and what I do in hip-hop is the most credible space and requires the most talent, and fair, the most real, ” he said in the response video, quoted from Hiphopdx.com.
News of the rapper’s new album, also known by the moniker King Push, comes shortly after he made a similar claim in an interview with GQ in May. This was after he reviewed his unreleased song and told the media that the work on recording a new album had already started.
“This is a new era for me,” said Pusha T.
On Pusha T New Album “It’s Almost Dry”, the owner of the name Terrence LeVarr Thornton features many collaborators from big names in hip hop. Starting from Kanye West, Kid Cudi, Pharrell Williams, JAY-Z, Lil Uzi Vert, Don Toliver, and many more.
This album made Pusha T its first number-one position on the Billboard 200 chart, with an estimated total of 55,000 album units sold in its first week. Unfortunately, “It’s Almost Dry” is also the last album he collaborated with GOOD Music and Def Jam Recordings.
Pusha T’s early career in the hip-hop arena began when he formed Clipse, with his older brother, No Malice. At that time, they were introduced to record producer, and fellow Virginian, namely Pharrell Williams of The Neptunes. They secured a recording contract with Elektra Records in 1997.
Terrence originally took the stage name Terrar. After signing with Elektra, they started working on their debut album, “Exclusive Audio Footage”. After recording the entire album, they released one single, “The Funeral”, which was not a commercial success and eventually led to the album’s release being canceled and Clipse being kicked off the label.
After being released, Terrar changed her name to Pusha T. Although not signed to a major label, she made numerous appearances on other artists’ songs, appearing on Kelis’ 1999 single “Good Stuff” and Nivea’s 2001 single “Run Away (I Wanna Be with). U)”, respectively, thanks to his association with The Neptunes, who produced both songs.
Subsequently, in early 2001, Pharrell Williams signed the duo to Arista Records through his newly founded Star Trak imprint. Clipse began work on their major label debut, which was executive produced by The Neptunes. Their debut single, “Grindin'” was released on May 14, 2002, and became a Summer Top 40 hit, reaching number 30 on the Billboard Hot 100 on July 30, 2002.
Similar success was followed by their second single, “When the Last Time”, which peaked at number nineteen on the chart. With two successful singles, Clipse released their debut commercial album “Lord Willin’” on August 20, 2002. “Lord Willin’” was also successful, debuting at number one on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-hop Album chart and number 4 on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-hop Album chart. Billboard 200, until finally certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on October 1, 2002.
After finally releasing three studio albums, Pusha T and Malice announced that Clipse would be taking an indefinite hiatus so they could both focus on their respective solo careers. Shortly thereafter, Pusha T signed with Kanye West’s GOOD Music label in September 2010, and made his first appearance as a member of the GOOD roster on Kanye West’s “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy”.
He has also been featured on several songs from Kanye West’s “GOOD Fridays” series and was featured on Swizz Beatz’s “Monster Mondays” series, H.F.M. 2 (Hunger for More 2), and Tabi Bonney’s Fresh. Until December 2010, Pusha T signed an exclusive management deal with the NUE Agency to then with Funkmaster Flex debut Pusha T’s debut solo single on New York City’s Hot 97 radio.
The song, entitled “My God”, was produced by Hit-Boy and was generally well-received by the public. Soon after, the song leaked onto the internet, although it wasn’t officially released via iTunes and Amazon. After that, Pusha T New Album released his debut solo album, a mixtape titled “Fear of God”, which included “My God” with the original and freestyle version in it.
The album also features Kanye West, 50 Cent, Rick Ross, Pharrell Williams, and Kevin Cossom as collaborators. Pusha T’s debut was well-received by the public. Soon after, he returned to work on his debut EP “Fear of God II: Let Us Pray”.
Until now, Pusha T has had five studio albums since 2011, with approximately 50 single songs that adorn his musical catalog.
