Line 6 Pod HD500 Review
Line 6 Pod HD500 – “Amp Modeling”, is two words that can make some guitarists immediately “turn off” or even “exciting” when they hear the word. But if you’re a guitarist who’s interested in making as many sounds as possible, this thing will definitely make you curious.
It can be hard not to be excited by the possible Tones we can create with; 16 amp simulators and more than 100 effects in a Line 6 POD HD500.
Line 6, has been known since making the early series of POD effects (which are shaped like beans). Where the series has managed to astonish many guitarists because of its easy utilization and the quality of the sound it provides, it now releases a series that is said to be able to resemble the feel of a real amp. Line 6 says that there is a new analog chip and HD modeling technology that works , so it can provide a dynamic response and feel like a tube amp.

In terms of utility, this thing does accommodate us not only from the many choices of types of amps and effects available, but also from the output that we will use, MIDI I/O (input/output), send/return FX I/O, and many more.
There are indeed improvements from Line 6 Pod HD500 in terms of responding to the dynamics of our game. When we beat the guitar with hard-picking dynamics, we can indeed feel the “break” that we usually find when we play with real amps. Even though the dynamic response isn’t exactly the same as the actual amp, this thing is pretty much the same… well, eleven twelve ;). This effect also allows us to use the 4-cable method, which allows us to use the sound amp as well as the effects provided by this effect (about the 4-cable method with line 6 can be found on the internet.
In my personal opinion, it’s not recommended if: you expect effects to be able to replace actual amps or for those of you who don’t like tinkering with effects. But if you really need a flexible effect unit with good sound quality with various sound possibilities, Line 6 Pod HD500 effect is worth a try.
