Kirk Hammett ESP KH2 Guitar Review
Kirk Hammett ESP KH2 – Kirk Hammett, lead guitar of the greatest metal band ever; Metallica. For almost two decades Kirk Hammett has used guitars from ESP in every stage.
Overall the sound of this guitar is not as heavy or warm as Gibson, maybe the influence of the use of Alder wood on the body of this guitar. Despite its appearance, this guitar sounds very good for playing Blues, country, and Rock styles. With the help of EMG pickups, this guitar is able to scream more to play loud music like heavy metal.
The best part of this guitar is the neck that uses the Extra Thin U shape, comfortable to play, with good sustain and tone that is maintained at every fret. The use of an EMG 60 on the neck gives it a warmer sound, which Kirk Hammet often uses for his Lead sound.

In terms of reliability and durability, this guitar (Kirk Hammett ESP KH2) has a solid construction. For durability may have been tested by Kirk Hammet himself through shows with Metallica.
Apart from the black design and skull inlay on the fretboard, you could say that Kirk Hammett ESP KH2 is versatile enough to play any type of music other than metal. As mentioned earlier, the character of the sound of this guitar may not be too “heavy” but that does not mean it is not suitable for playing loud music. After all, who can argue with the Master of Heavy Metal?
