Jungkook BTS Becomes the First K-Pop Solo Singer to be Nominated for the MTV Video Music Awards

Jungkook BTS – Quoted from the official MTV website on Saturday (20/08/2022), Jeon Jungkook was nominated for the MTV VMA for the Song of Summer category. Meanwhile, BLACKPINK’s Lisa was nominated for the Best K-Pop category.

Their work in this international music event has also become a proud achievement and at the same time carve a new history for the K-Pop music industry. The reason is, that Jungkook and Lisa are the first soloists to be nominated for the prestigious MTV Video Music Awards event.

Jeon Jungkook and Lisa’s proud achievements were immediately shared by the Instagram fan account @jungkook127.97. Meanwhile, Jungkook was nominated in that category for his debut collaboration with Charlie Puth.

This happy news was announced directly by MTV VMA through their official Twitter account some time ago. Jungkook and Charlie Puth have just collaborated through the song Left and Right. Even the video clip of the song, which was released on June 24 last, has been watched by more than 100 million viewers.

Of course, this is a very great and proud achievement for Jeon Jungkook. This is because the music video for the song Left and Right is the first debut for Jungkook BTS as a soloist.

This is Jungkook’s first project after the idol group BTS announced a temporary hiatus. Even so, the name Jungkook managed to get so much attention through the collaborative project he did with Charlie Puth.
