J-Hope BTS and TXT Will Perform in New York at New Year’s Eve
J-Hope BTS and TXT are confirmed to be part of the performers at the popular New York New Year’s Eve event, Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, which is usually held in Times Square.
In uploads on social media on Friday (16/12), Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve mentioned J-Hope’s name as part of the year’s change of appearance with the legendary band, Duran Duran.
The news that J-Hope will be performing is also the first time for him to appear at the event as a soloist. Previously, he performed on the show in 2017 and 2019 with BTS members.
According to People’s reports, J-Hope will be performing a medley of the songs = (Equal Sign), Chicken Noodle Soup, and Butter (Holiday Remix).
This announcement made J-Hope join his ‘younger brother’ fellow agency, TXT, who had previously been announced as a performer at the legendary event.
Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve premieres December 31 and is hosted by Ryan Seacrest.
J-Hope’s action at Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve adds to his series of solo appearances on screen. Last November, he debuted as a soloist on the small screen through MAMA 2022.
“J-Hope’s solo stage will be broadcast for the first time at the MAMA Awards,” said MAMA producer Yoon Shin-Hye.
“BTS performances at MAMA have always been legendary, and we have heard that J-Hope is training hard to once again create a performance that will go down in MAMA history,” he continued.
When releasing a solo album in August 2022, J-Hope BTS admitted that he was worried that his debut solo album, Jack In The Box, would be difficult for most fans to accept.

However, it turns out that he got a better reaction than previously expected. Moreover, J-Hope considers that his solo album is a new beginning of his journey to explore a different musical style than before.
In contrast to the cheerful nuance that is synonymous with J-Hope’s persona when he was a member of BTS, the Jack In The Box album contains songs that are a bit darker and show another side that has been hidden so far.
“At first I was a bit worried because the album ‘Jack In The Box’ contains my story and what I really want to do,” said J-Hope in an interview with NME, Wednesday (10/8) local time.
“There are so many people who actually listen to and react to my original music and stories, so I’m grateful for that.”
