Draven Bennington with RVRND Releasing His Debut Single Title F_W_ME
Draven Bennington, son of the late Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington, has shared his debut single titled F_w_Me. Draven Bennington has come up with the moniker RVRND for this solo musical project.
RVRND’s debut solo song, F_w_Me, was released on April 25, 2023. This is the first breakthrough for Draven Bennington, who is now 21 years old. F_w_Me is a rap song inspired by classic hip-hop material from the 1990s. The process of mixing and mastering this song was handled by Jay Baumgardner who also worked with Draven’s father when he was with Linkin Park and his previous band, Gray Daze.
Before exploring the rap genre, Draven Bennington was part of an alt-metal band called Chaos. In his band, Draven serves as a vocalist and rhythm guitarist.
F_w_Me is featured in the new Paramount+ docuseries Family Legacy. The docuseries also revisits iconic music artists—including Diddy and *NSYNC—through the eyes of their children. The children of these iconic music artists offer personal reflections and a unique perspective on the lives, influences, and influences of their famous parents. Draven Bennington appears in the first episode of the series entitled Dads Who Rock.
The 21-year-old musician discussed his time on the new series with social media updates on April 25, 2023. In the series, he shares his appreciation for everyone involved. He writes everyone is very sweet and sincere, and being able to see all of his father’s videos is really great!
Draven Sebastian Bennington also added, “It’s great to be able to share what I do and talk about all the amazing things his father did without focusing on the ending… Let’s talk about the good memories instead of dwelling on the sad ones. Once again thank you from the bottom of my heart!”
While in an exclusive interview on HollywoodLife.com, Draven Bennington also said similarly that he wanted to “change the narrative” of how his father is remembered. According to him, sometimes we focus too much on the end of it all when he lived his whole life and had so many amazing things happen.
“What he did and his creative outlet had such an impact on so many different people, and it was able to save so many people. I think that’s the number one thing I want people to remember, and then it’s just a great amount of time. I want to change the narrative…. I think we sometimes focus too much on the end of everything when there’s a lifetime and he’s had so many amazing things happen,” he said.
He continued: “The text messages I get are from people saying, ‘I’m backstage and we’re having the best conversation with Daddy and he’s so sweet.’ Those are the things I want people to remember. I don’t want people to sit and focus on the end all the time. Although I think it’s a good conversation to have. I think it’s a conversation that needs to be had and it should be, isn’t it? the thing we remember about him.”
This July will mark six years since the Linkin Park frontman died after battling depression. Since then, his family has continued to honor his legacy. Now, one of his six children has decided to follow in his footsteps and launch his own music career under the name RVRND.
A little review of this musician’s father, Chester Charles Bennington, father of Draven Sebastian Bennington, was found dead after he hanged himself at his home in Palos Verdes Estates, California, United States. A crew found his body at around 9:00 a.m. local time on July 20, 2017.
Regarding the news of the irreplaceable Linkin Park vocalist’s death, Mike Shinoda confirmed Chester’s death on Twitter. Mike Shinoda admitted that he was shocked and sorry that the incident actually happened. As soon as the event occurred, an official statement came out. On July 21, 2017, Brian Elias, chief of operations for the medical examiner, confirmed that a half-full bottle of alcoholic beverage was found at the scene, but no other drugs were found other than that.
Linkin Park later announced that they had canceled the North American leg of their One More Light World Tour following the incident and tickets were refunded. Chester Bennington’s death occurred on Chris Cornell’s 53rd birthday. Cornell—who was a close friend of Chester Bennington—had also died by hanging himself two months earlier. Chester Bennington performed Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah at Cornell’s funeral.
On the other hand, one of Chester Bennington’s children, Tyler Lee Bennington, made a post on TikTok to cover conspiracy theories about his father’s death in early April. He said that there is a lot of nonsense that will not be discussed on his page. No proof of the theories has been made. All just a vain attempt to sensationalize what is really a tragedy, a big story.
Meanwhile, some time ago Mike Shinoda revealed that the Linkin Park band would not appear using the late singer’s hologram. The announcement comes after a Linkin Park song featuring Chester’s vocals was shared ahead of Meteora’s 20th anniversary.
