Bring Me The Horizon and Ed Sheeran released New Version ” Bad Habits”

Bring Me The Horizon (BMTH) and Ed Sheeran released an alternative studio version of the song Bad Habits on February 17, 2022. Ed Sheeran teamed up with the metal group on February 8, 2022, for a reworked version of his 2021 song, Bad Habits, to open the 2022 BRIT Awards.

Earlier this week, Bring Me The Horizon and Ed Sheeran also teased a studio release of the song, after Oli Sykes of Bring Me The Horizon shared a FaceTime call he had with Ed Sheeran. The two were both discussing their live performances and upcoming song releases.

Oli Sykes said: “There are so many people asking for such a studio version.” While Ed Sheeran replied: “We have to get one out.”

Ed Sheeran added: “We’re going to get Jordan and the cast above him and I’m going to get the vocals. Just make sure it produces a proper death growl at the end!” Until finally an alternative version of the song has been released.

Talking about the new version of Bad Habits, Ed Sheeran said: “I really enjoyed last week’s show and I think people will really like the new version. Excited to get it out.”

Oli Sykes of Bring Me The Horizon added: “From receiving emails asking if we wanted to open BRITs with Ed Sheeran to us chatting and pitching ideas to rehearsing and then performing and now releasing, this goes without saying it’s quite mental. But we’re all about pushing the boundaries of our own and other genres, so this felt like the perfect challenge.”

The song Bad Habits was released in June 2021. The original version of the song Bad Habits has spent 11 consecutive weeks at the top of the UK charts, holding on to the longest consecutive number one spot last year. Meanwhile, Bring Me The Horizon will perform the closing set at the BandLab NME Awards 2022.

The awards will return to London’s O2 Academy Brixton on 2 March 2022 to celebrate the best in music and entertainment from around the world.

“To be honest we were surprised we were even asked to come back at all! What a great honor to be asked to close the prestigious NME Awards, we are really excited,” said Sykes.

Bring Me the Horizon (often abbreviated to BMTH) is an English rock band formed in Sheffield in 2004. The group consists of vocalist Oliver Sykes, guitarist Lee Malia, bassist Matt Kean, drummer Matt Nicholls, and keyboardist Jordan Fish. They are signed to RCA Records globally and Columbia Records exclusively in the United States.

The band released their debut album Count Your Blessings in 2006. Upon its release, the sound of the album polarized listeners and was met with critical scorn. The band began to break away from their controversial sound with Suicide Season (2008), which was a creative, critical, and commercial turning point for the band. Bring Me the Horizon released their third album, There Is a Hell Believe Me I’ve Seen It. There Is a Heaven Let’s Keep It a Secret., in 2010, propelled them to greater international fame while incorporating influences from classical, electronic, and pop music.

Their major-label debut, Sempiternal (2013) was certified Gold in Australia (35,000) and Silver in the UK (60,000). That’s the Spirit (2015) debuted at number two on the UK Albums Chart and US Billboard 200. Their sixth studio album, Amo (2019) became their first UK chart top. In addition to these six studio albums, they have also released two mini-albums and two live albums. They had received four Kerrangs! Awards, including two for Best British Band and one for Best Live Band, and has been nominated for two Grammy Awards.

Edward Christopher Sheeran MBE is an English singer-songwriter. Ed was born in Halifax, West Yorkshire on 17 February 1991 and raised in Framlingham, Suffolk, he started writing songs around the age of eleven. In early 2011, Sheeran independently released the EP, Collaboration Project No. 5. He signed with Asylum Records in the same year.
