Alice Cooper Band Reunion After 50 Years with New Album

After a half-century hiatus since their last album, the Alice Cooper Band reunion is finally a reality, with the upcoming release of their brand-new studio album titled The Revenge of Alice Cooper. Scheduled for release on July 25, 2025, this album continues the legacy from their 1973 hit, Muscle of Love.

Original Members Reunite with Fresh Talent

This album highlights the reunion of original Alice Cooper Band members, Michael Bruce (guitar), Dennis Dunaway (bass), and Neil Smith (drums), who are joined by Nashville-based guitarist Gyasi Hues. The legendary producer Bob Ezrin, responsible for classic albums such as Love It to Death, Killer, School’s Out, and Billion Dollar Babies, is once again collaborating with the band.

Nostalgia and Fresh Energy Blend Perfectly

In an interview with Billboard, Alice Cooper, now 77, expressed amazement at how natural the reunion felt. “It feels like this is just the next album after Muscle of Love, as if we simply picked up where we left off. Funny, after 50 years, everything just fits perfectly,” stated Alice.

This release also honors late guitarist Glen Buxton, who passed away in 1997. Buxton appears posthumously on the track What Happened to You and a remixed version of Return Of The Spiders, both featured exclusively on the deluxe edition of the album.

Timeless Chemistry Continues

Bob Ezrin, who has worked with iconic bands like Aerosmith, Kiss, Pink Floyd, and Deep Purple, remarked on the enduring chemistry among band members: “They haven’t changed much as people. They’re older and calmer, but when they gather, it’s like they’re back in high school, hanging out at the local cafe and making music like 50 years ago.”

Lead Single ‘Black Mamba’ Premieres Soon

As a preview, the album’s lead single, Black Mamba, will premiere on Alice’s radio show, Alice’s Attic, on Tuesday, April 22, 2025. Although the Alice Cooper Band reunion marks their first full studio release since their breakup, the band previously released a live album, Live From The Astroturf, for Record Store Day in 2018 and collaborated on Alice’s solo album, Detroit Stories, in 2021.
