YUNGBLUD New Album Has Released Titled “The Emperor”
YUNGBLUD New Album – Singer and songwriter YUNGBLUD has just released a new single titled The Emperor. The single will be released ahead of the singer’s soon-to-be self-titled album release, on September 2, 2022, via Locomotion/Geffen Records.
Building anticipation for his collection, the British musician has released several singles such as The Funeral, Don’t Feel Like Feeling Sad Today, and Memories featuring WILLOW.
The song, titled The Emperor, features the Yorkshire-born artist with real name Dominic Harrison in a usually rowdy and energetic setting accompanied by wild punk rhythms and motivating lyrics.
This single is also special because YUNGBLUD has teamed up with ESPN’s College Football Season. The Emperor’s single will later become the official song for the football league title this year.
Regarding this great opportunity, YUNGBLUD said, “It is a great honor to choose my song The Emperor as the national anthem for ESPN’s College Football Season.”
“I wrote this song when I was 17, it was just an unfiltered burst of energy that I knew I would have a moment in one day. I played it live for years but never found the right time to release it until now.”
YUNGBLUD added, “ESPN’s College Football Season is a big part of American culture and all I want to do is bring energy to people, so I can’t wait for the song to bring that energy to the fans and the players in the game throughout the season.”
YUNGBLUD itself launched its music in festive style after making its debut performance at the magnificent Glastonbury at the end of last June. Not long ago, YUNGBLUD also released a new single Don’t Feel Like Feeling Sad Today.
Talking about the track, YUNGBLUD opened up about the song’s meaning, “I wrote this song in the morning when I didn’t even want to get out of bed. I sat and looked at the ceiling, head full of so much bullshit, reading what the internet said about me that day, and I didn’t feel bad.”
He adds: “I wrote these words to help me stand up. To me, this song is what happiness feels like. Happiness with a bite. Challenging kind of happiness. Looking at yourself in the mirror and saying it’s sad to leave and come back another day. I want this song to be a small part of someone’s day, no matter what they’re going through, they can wear it and feel a little stronger today. That’s the vision, that’s the dream…”
YUNGBLUD has also released the accompanying music video for the punchy motivational single. The singer explained the idea behind his visualizer, “That’s why when we made the video. It was necessary to replicate that idea. My manager asked me, ‘What can we do that no one else is doing?’ And the concept came to us.”
“All over the world, I meet my fans on the streets, to feel a connection. To look into other people’s eyes and see that they are going through the same thing as me. It’s kind of become our ritual. Look, damn cops around the world know when we’re in town! So I said let’s roll some cameras, pull a truck, no permits, no permits, tell people to meet me at a location, and have a massive water war. Sing, scream, and feel together. Imperfect, raw, real… happy,” he explained.
Especially for the single, YUNGBLUD New Album announced through social media inviting fans to participate in filming the Don’t Feel Like Feeling Sad Today music video.
Earlier, he posted: “Come to Southbank at 3:30 pm. No age limit, no proposals, come after school, come after work, carry a sign, dress however you like. The theme is: ‘Don’t feel sad today. Oh yeah, and maybe you guys want to bring a water gun.” Check out the music video for Don’t Feel Like Feeling Sad Today below.
