Blackpink’s Pink Venom has Broken the MV Record in 24 Hours in 2022
BLACKPINK’s Pink Venom broke the record for the most-viewed video clip on YouTube in 2022 for the first 24 hours. As We Know, BLACKPINK has made a comeback by releasing the song and music video for Pink Venom on 19 August 2022.
Based on data compiled by YouTube, Pink Venom was watched 86.2 million times in 24 hours after its release on Friday at midnight South Korea time. In addition, the video clip has also received 6 million likes in the same time span.
Pink Venom by Blackpink ranked fourth as a music video on YouTube for 24 hours of views of all time, according to a Variety report. The first rank is still filled by BTS with the video clip Butter which was watched by 108.2 million for 24 hours last year.
Then in second place, BTS K-POP from South Korea again contributed a record with the MV Dynamite with the number 101.1 million in 2020. Meanwhile, BLACKPINK filled the third position with the MV How You Like That which was watched 86.3 million times in 24 hours in 2020.
The fifth rank was also filled by the debut girl group in 2016 with the Ice Cream video clip in collaboration with Selena Gomez. The video clip was watched 79.0 million times exactly two years ago.
