Run the Jewels Release Opening Song for Aqua Teen Hunger Force Movie , AQUA TEEN FOREVER
Run The Jewels introduced the Opening (Aqua Teen Forever: Plantasm) as the opening song they contributed to the film Aqua Teen Hunger Force which will be released in November 2022.
This film is a sequel to 2007’s Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon for feature films. The film is written and directed by Matt Maiellaro and Dave Willis. In addition, there are also the names of Dana Snyder, Carey Means, Dave Willis, and others names who will reprise their roles in this film.
Opening (Aqua Teen Forever: Plantasm) is the latest in a series of collaborations between Run The Jewels and Adult Swim. This collaboration is not the first time.
In 2017, the hip-hop duo teamed up with Adult Swim and Los Angeles fashion label Daylight Curfew to release a special edition of Rick and Morty merchandise.
The following year, Run The Jewels’ music video for their song Oh Mama featured the show’s titular characters, and the group became the headliner of the 2018 edition of Adult Swim festival in LA.
As well as performing the theme song for Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Run The Jewels also recently wrapped up the first leg of their long-delayed North American tour in support of the Rage Against The Machine reunion.
During the Toronto show, Run The Jewels performed with Rage Against The Machine the song Close Your Eyes And Come To Fuck, performed by Rage Against The Machine vocalist, Zack de la Rocha. Reportedly, the tour will start again next year. Precisely in February 2023. Both are also rumored to appear on The Late Show with Colbert earlier this September.
For information also in July, Killer Mike released ‘RUN’ as his first song with a soloist entity in a decade. The song features Young Thug and comedian Dave Chappelle.
In the music video, a banner that reads “Free Thug, Free Gunna, Protect Black Art”, also appears, referring to the charges against Thug and Gunna, last May.
