Arctic Monkeys New Album – Arctic Monkeys have officially announced their long-awaited seventh studio album. His latest studio album, titled The Car, is scheduled to be released on October 21, 2022, via Domino Records.
The Car album was produced by James Ford and recorded in three different places, England and France. These include Butley Priory in Suffolk; La Frette in Paris; and RAK Studios in London.
In a press release, the recording of the latest studio album “found the Arctic Monkeys running wild across a new and luxurious musical landscape and containing some of the richest and most rewarding vocal performances of Alex Turner’s career.”
The new album will feature the new song I Ain’t Simply Where I Think I Am, which debuted during the Sheffield rock unit featuring vocalist and guitarist Alex Turner, drummer Matt Helders, guitarist Jamie Cook, and bassist Nick O’Malley. at the Zurich Openair festival in Switzerland on August 23, 2022.

The deluxe LP edition of the upcoming album will be available on a limited edition gray vinyl with cuffs on sleeves and a gloss cover image attached via the official Arctic Monkeys web store. Additionally, an exclusive custard-colored LP will be available at independent record stores and HMV stores. The Car album will also be available on LP, CD, and cassette, as well as on your favorite music streaming platform, Superfriends.
Arctic Monkeys New Album “The Car” itself will be the studio album to follow up the albums Tranquility Base & Casino (2018) and AM (2013).
In an interview with The Big Issue, vocalist Alex Turner talked about how the recording compares to the intergalactic sound of their latest release. He explained, “At this record, sci-fi is not on the table. We return to earth. I think we’re getting closer to a better version of the overall sound that’s more dynamic with this record.”
“The strings on this record went in and out of focus and it was a deliberate move and hopefully everything has its own space. There comes a time when the band comes to the front and then the strings come forward.”
Alex Turner also spoke about the group’s decision not to use a regular recording studio. He explained that they were inspired by some rock-and-roll legends to go the other way. The Car album was recorded in the summer of 2021 at Butler Priory, a converted convent in the countryside in Suffolk, England.
“There’s a lot of footage of Led Zeppelin and [The Rolling] Stones where they’re in this house in the country and then they go and sort it all out and overdub it somewhere else. We go there in the summer, pick up all the equipment, get the raw materials and then take it somewhere else.”
