Beth Orton shared the music video for her new single Friday Night on August 17, 2022. The single is the third song to be lifted from his new album, Weather Alive—after Forever Young—which will be released on September 23, 2022, through Partisan Records.

Talking about the new single, Beth Orton said: “Friday Night is someone who contemplates, and tries to decide, what to let go of or what to give up. Passion or ambivalence? Will it ‘bleed or rust in the rain’.”

Collaborators on this album include The Smile drummer Tom Skinner, Mancunian jazz star Alabaster dePlume, multi-instrumentalist/composition Shahzad Ismaily, and The Invisible bassist Tom Herbert.
