Taylor Swift Reveals The New Song “CAROLINA”, Ready to Show in Film
Carolina Taylor Swift has announced that a new song is called Carolina. The new song will be featured in the upcoming film adaptation of Delia Owens’ 2018 hit novel, Where The Crawdads Sing.
Where The Crawdads Sing stars Daisy Edgar Jones and is produced by Reese Witherspoon. The new trailer for the film was shared by Taylor Swift on social media on March 22, 2022. The trailer features footage of the musician’s new, moody and dramatic song.
While sharing the trailer on Instagram, Taylor Swift said she was a fan of the original novel, and that she had written the new song herself, before enlisting her regular collaborator Aaron Dessner as producer.
“Where The Crawdads Sing was a book that was completely lost when I read it years ago. As soon as I heard there was a film in the works starring the amazing Daisy Edgar Jones and produced by the brilliant Reese Witherspoon, I knew I wanted to be a part of it in terms of music,” said Taylor Swift.
“I wrote the song, Carolina Taylor Swift, alone and asked my friend Aaron Dessner to produce it. I wanted to create something haunting and subtle to match this enchanting story. You’ll hear about it soon enough, but for now, check out the trailer […] for the clip!” continued the blonde singer.
Meanwhile, last week, Taylor Swift discussed her decision to choose Dylan O’Brien in her short film All Too Well, revealing that actor Maze Runner was her first choice.
“I have seen his work and heard nothing but wonderful things about him as a person. Ultimately I want to work with people who love what they do and do it with enthusiasm because that’s how I create things too,” Swift said.
Shortly after revealing her new single, Taylor Swift is also rumored to be receiving an honorary doctorate in fine arts from New York University. The university will honor the singer on May 18, 2022, while serving as a “doubleheader” for the 188th and 189th Commencement Exercises—to celebrate 2020, 2021, and 2022 classes—at Yankee Stadium, New York City, United States.
Taylor Swift will receive her doctorate, to be a Doctor of Fine Arts, honoris causa, and speak to graduates and guests on behalf of all recipients for the Class of 2022 at the morning ceremony.
