The Wombats Bands’ journey in introducing the album Fix Yourself, Not the World began in early June with a single titled Method To The Madness. In the song Method To The Madness, The Wombats explore a bit of music that is somewhat unique. Having a base as an indie rock band, for their latest song The Wombats tries to incorporate R&B elements that bring a dynamic impression into the composition of the song Method To The Madness. This single, which was released last May, is the first work to be re-released by The Wombats after this Liverpool band managed to release their fourth album in 2018. It has been more or less 4 years since The Wombats last released their newest original work. Matthew Murphy as the frontman of The Wombats explained that the essence of the song Method To The Madness is a process of understanding the chaotic world and learning to accept life as it should be.

Matthew Murphy explained that the lyrics he wrote for Method To The Madness were mostly taken from his personal experience. One experience that is quite contrasting is the foundation for writing the lyrics for the new song The Wombats, which is the story about a honeymoon vacation to big cities on the European continent. This experience is one of the most memorable experiences recognized by the frontman of The Wombats. The reason is, Matthew Murphy knows that he is a tourist and is surrounded by other tourists who both do not know how to play or the pattern of daily life in the country he visits. But at the same time, the frontman of The Wombats also does not feel foreign to his new environment, because he is still discovering aspects of human life that he has always encountered during his life. One member of The Wombats explained that the song titled Method To The Madness is introspective and still has relevance for some people out there.
